This Car IS: A Driver's Car! It has a longitudinally mounted 1.8L inline 4 cyl. engine. Not too terribly impressive, but coupled with the fact that it is a rear wheel driven, 50/50 weight distributed, ultra-light weight vehicle... Makes this car insanely fun to drive!!!
In addition to regularly scheduled maintenance, basic Oil changes, Replacing Air filters, and Tire care, this Miata has undergone all major Factory Scheduled Maintenance, including replacing specific parts designed to wear out with regular driving such as: Clutch Replacement @80k, All 4 Brakes @30/60/90, Plugs and Wires @ 50/100, Water Pump and Timing + Other Belts @ 90k.
While the car accepts regular gasoline, "Shell Premium Gasoline" was used, which averaged me between 28-30 MPG. The vehicle can use regular unleaded gasoline, but I found mileage/tank to squeeze out an extra 25-35 miles with premium fuel. Seemed to keep the car running cleaner and peppier, and cost about the same to re-fill with the extra mileage gained.
I am a proponent of the old adage, "An Ounce of Prevention... Is Worth a Pound of the Cure."
This is why I am comfortable in asking my price for the car. I have taken steps to make sure that you will be purchasing a quality working vehicle. I am not interested in selling "a project".
